Ratings: “Fear The Walking Dead” Falls, Still Ranks As Sunday’s #1 Cable Show

“FTWD” was down from last week but up from previous episodes.

Sunday’s edition of “Fear The Walking Dead” trailed last week’s episode in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.

It nonetheless ranked as Sunday’s top cable original in both columns.

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Sunday’s “Fear The Walking Dead” drew a 0.97 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 2.71 million overall viewers.

Last week’s episode posted a 1.09 in the demo and 3.07 million in overall viewership.

Beyond ranking as the best posted by a Sunday cable show, this week’s numbers reflect an improvement over the show’s third season averages.

The improvement is not dramatic — and perhaps not as big as some expected given the rebooted approach for season four — but it is hard to complain about any degree of year-over-year live+same-day improvement in today’s era.
