The second season of TBS’ “Drop The Mic” premieres at 10:30PM ET/PT on April 15.
With that kickoff episode approaching, the network formally confirmed more matchups for the coming second season.
Upcoming rap battles include Seth Rogen vs. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Shawn Mendes vs. Odell Beckham Jr, Charli XCX vs. Tove Lo, James Corden vs. Dr Phil, Mark McGrath vs. Jodie Sweetin, Karrueche Tran vs. Taye Diggs, Shaggy vs. Matthew Lillard, Hanson vs. Sam Richardson, Michael K Williams vs. Trevor Jackson, and a “redemption battle” between Chad L. Coleman and Chandler Riggs of “The Walking Dead.”
TBS had previously confirmed Shaquille O’Neal vs. Ken Jeong, Luis Fonsi vs. Terry Crews, Molly Ringwald vs. Jon Cryer, Jerry Springer vs. Ricki Lake, Darren Criss vs. Gaten Matarazzo, Jay Pharaoh vs. Marlon Wayans, Luis Guzman vs. Gabriel Iglesias, Lindsey Vonn vs. Gus Kenworthy and “GLOW” cast members Jackie Tohn, Kate Nash, Sunita Mani and Britney Young vs. WWE Superstars Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, Carmella and Alicia Fox for the upcoming second season.
It appears that the Chris Jericho vs. Laila Ali battle, which was first announced ahead of season one, will also air during the upcoming cycle.
Sunday’s premiere features the Shaq vs. Ken Jeong and Jerry Springer vs. Ricki Lake matchups.
Method Man and Hailey Baldwin return as hosts for the show, which was a solid ratings performer during its first season.
