Ratings: “Winter Break: Hunter Mountain” Draws Small Audience In New Timeslot

The second episode of “Winter Break” did not attract much live+same-day interest.

On the heels of the low-rated series premiere, MTV relocated “Winter Break: Hunter Mountain” to a new timeslot (Friday at 8PM) — and new network (MTV2)

It, predictably, posted small live+same-day viewership numbers.

According to data posted by Showbuzz, Friday’s “Winter Break” drew a mere .02 adults 18-49 rating. It averaged only 40,000 overall viewers.

The numbers markedly trail the already-paltry 0.10 rating and 184,000 viewer mark posted by the February 27 series premiere.

Of course, insofar as Friday’s episode aired on a Friday, on a smaller network and with minimal lead-in support, the drop is thoroughly unsurprising.

“Winter Break” is a clear miss for the partnership between SallyAnn Salsano’s 495 Productions and MTV.

That partnership is not without some positive developments, however. The recently launched “Floribama Shore” earned a second season renewal on the strength of decent ratings for season one. The upcoming “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation,” meanwhile, scored a second season prior to the premiere of season one.
