His albums post mammoth sales numbers. His concerts attract considerable attention. He cleans up at the major awards shows. He garners immense critical acclaim.

Indeed, Chris Stapleton ranks as one of the biggest, most successful stars in country music.

Only one major achievement has eluded Stapleton since his breakthrough at the 2015 CMA Awards: a country radio number one.

That changes this week, as his “Broken Halos” reaches the apex of Mediabase’s country radio singles chart.

“Broken Halos” seizes the throne from Thomas Rhett’s “Marry Me,” which spent the past two weeks in the pinnacle position.

Not simply the leader in chart points, “Broken Halos” also ranks as the Mediabase country panel’s most-played and most-heard song for the March 11-17 tracking period.

The “From A Room, Volume 1” single received ~8,755 plays (+108) and ~57.972 million audience impressions.

The aforementioned “Marry Me” falls to #2 on this week’s chart, while Luke Bryan’s “Most People Are Good” holds at #3.

Devin Dawson’s “All On Me” and Brett Eldredge’s “The Long Way” hold at #4 and #5, respectively.
