Freeform just shared big news regarding its planned “Pretty Little Liars” spin-off pilot.
Singer-actress Sofia Carson, best known as Evie from the “Descendants” films, is joining the cast in a key role.
Carson will star as Ava in the spin-off, which is entitled “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists.”
“[Ava] is a beautiful trendsetting blogger and coder, who strives to be a fashion icon,” says Freeform.
Carson is the third cast member confirmed for “The Perfectionists.” Upon announcing the show last year, Freeform revealed that Sasha Pieterse and Janel Parrish will be reprising their roles from the original series.
“The Perfectionists” is being executive produced by I. Marlene King.
It, interestingly, is not the only King/Freeform series on which Carson will be appearing. Freeform recently revealed that she will be guest starring as Sloane on “Famous In Love.”
