Sunday night, Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee will find out if their hit “Despacito” wins any Grammy Awards.

They will have news to celebrate regardless.

The RIAA just announced that “Despacito” has been certified diamond in the United States.

A diamond certification confirms 10 million in US units. Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

“Despacito,” the RIAA notes, is the first Latin song to reach diamond status under the RIAA’s standard (diamond = 10 million units) certification system.

Only eighteen songs in total have reached the impressive diamond milestone.
