The musical act on Monday’s “Ellen DeGeneres Show” is a bonafide phenomenon.
It is K-pop phenomenon BTS.
Making its “Ellen” debut, the group performs “MIC Drop” on the broadcast. The seven group members also join host Ellen DeGeneres for an interview.
BTS is currently receiving ample exposure and attention in the United States. The group delivered its inaugural US TV performance at last weekend’s American Music Awards; it also has a “Kimmel” performance scheduled for this Wednesday.
Its newly released “MIC Drop” remix, moreover, just hit #1 on the US iTunes sales chart. It is #62 at US pop radio.
