Making good on Headline Planet’s projection, Ariana Grande’s “we can’t be friends (wait for your love)” ascends to #1 on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

The song, which rises two places from last week’s position, received ~16,331 spins during the May 12-18 tracking period. The count tops last week’s mark by a substantial 1,183 plays, securing the “Eternal Sunshine” single its spot atop the chart.

Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things” slides one place to #2 this week, while Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control” dips a place to #3. SZA’s “Saturn” spends another week in the #4 position.

Sabrina Carpenter’s “Feather” also holds steady this week, remaining at #5.
