Lorde’s “Solar Power” Soars To #2 On US Spotify Streaming Chart Following First Full Day

The new Lorde single received over 1.6 million opening day streams on US Spotify.

Lorde’s “Solar Power” debuted at #98 on the US Spotify chart for Thursday, June 10, which accounted for its abbreviated first day of release.

It lands far higher on the chart for Friday, June 11, which measures streaming activity on its first full day in the market.

Credited with 1,643,286 Friday American streams, “Solar Power” earns #2 on the daily US chart. Only Olivia Rodrigo’s smash “good 4 u” received more Friday plays (2,772,983).

“Solar Power” also attracted attention globally, earning #8 on the worldwide Spotify chart with 4,250,085 Friday streams. It concurrently earns #1 in her native New Zealand.

— “Solar Power” additionally attracted first-day airplay at alternative radio, while reaching the Top 5 (and still holding a Top 10 position) on the US iTunes sales chart.
