Olivia Rodrigo’s “drivers license” officially impacts radio this coming week, but dozens of pop and hot adult contemporary radio stations proved unwilling to wait.

Thanks to the strong airplay, “drivers license” debuts on this week’s Mediabase charts for both formats.

As first reported by Headline Planet, “drivers license” earns #30 on this week’s Mediabase pop chart. The instant smash, which is a lock for #1 on the overall Billboard Hot 100, received 1,635 pop spins during the January 10-16 tracking period.

Played 174 times at the format, “drivers license” meanwhile earns #40 on the Hot AC chart.

In addition to some of the biggest buzz (and proven commercial metrics) ever attained by a debut single, “drivers license” will benefit from Rodrigo’s inclusion in the iHeartRadio “On The Verge” program. iHeart announced Rodrigo as its first 2021 OTV artist late last week.
