This week’s Mediabase country radio singles chart brings big news for “What Happens In A Small Town.”

The Brantley Gilbert-Lindsay Ell collaboration rises two places to #1 on the listing, seizing the throne from Russell Dickerson’s “Every Little Thing.”

“What Happens In A Small Town” becomes Gilbert’s first #1 since “One Hell Of An Amen” topped the chart in 2015. It, meanwhile, ranks as the first #1 hit of Ell’s career.

Not simply the leader in chart points, “What Happens In A Small Town” ranks as the Mediabase country panel’s most played and heard song for the November 3-9 tracking period. It received ~8,498 spins (+1,068) and ~50.00 million audience impressions.

Luke Combs’ “Even Though I’m Leaving” holds at #2 this week, while Old Dominion’s “One Man Band” climbs one place to #3. “Every Little Thing” drops three spots to #4, and Thomas Rhett’s “Remember You Young” climbs two places to #5.
