Saweetie’s “My Type” Officially Reaches Platinum In United States

Saweetie’s hit “My Type” has officially crossed the platinum threshold in the United States.

According to the RIAA, the single picked up the platinum award on Tuesday, October 29. The certification signifies at least 1 million in US digital single units, with each unit equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

“My Type” follows “ICY GIRL” in becoming the artist’s second platinum-certified single.

It has nonetheless been a far bigger hit, earning a prominent spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and rising to #1 at rhythmic radio. It is also charting at the pop radio format.
