The song that recently ruled the Mediabase hot adult contemporary chart is set to take the throne at pop radio.

Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved,” that song, is poised to claim #1 on this week’s edition of the pop chart.

The breakthrough hit received 5,288 spins during the first two days of the October 13-19 tracking period. Up 5% from the count at this point last week, the tally slots “Someone You Loved” at #1 on Mediabase’s building/real-time chart.

As it faces no threats from below, it should have no trouble retaining its position through the close of tracking.
