Making good on Headline Planet’s report, Maroon 5’s “Memories” enjoyed considerable first-day airplay at the hot adult contemporary and pop radio formats.

According to Mediabase, the new single closed Friday with over 652 spins at Hot AC radio. It meanwhile received 1,240 spins at the pop format.

Based on those counts, “Memories” takes #25 and #39 on the building Hot AC and pop airplay charts, respectively. The charts rank songs based on the first six days of the September 15-21 tracking period.

“Memories” will not receive quite as much support Saturday, but it should still remain inside the Top 30 as the Hot AC chart goes final. It may also remain inside the Top 40 at pop — and it definitely will not drop out of the Top 50.
