Why Don’t We’s “What Am I” is quickly gaining traction ahead of its September 10 pop radio impact date. It enters the format’s Top 50 this week.

Alessia Cara’s “Rooting For You,” Taylor Swift’s “Lover,” and Lizzo’s “Good As Hell” also enter that region.

Played 703 times during the August 25-31 tracking period (+580), “What Am I” ranks as the Mediabase pop panel’s #43 song. It was #82 last week.

“Rooting For You,” which just impacted the format, concurrently soars twenty-six places to #47. It posted a tracking period play count of 540 (+382).

Swift’s team has not yet formally announced her next single, but radio is clearly showing interest in “Lover.” The title track from her new album, which received 505 spins (+153), rises three places to #49.

Even with Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts” marching toward #1, “Good As Hell” is attracting attention. The song rises eight places to #50 with 503 spins (+215).
