Kid Rock Debuts On Billboard Social 50 Following Taylor Swift Tweet

Kid Rock makes his first appearance on the Social 50.

Kid Rock calls out Taylor Swift on Twitter

On August 9, Kid Rock ignited considerable conversation — and plenty of outcry — with a Tweet aimed at Taylor Swift.

Said conversation thrusts the artist onto this week’s Billboard Social 50 chart.

Rock debuts at #47 on the listing, which measures social media activity across a variety of platforms.

In this case, the activity can almost entirely be rooted in the Taylor Swift Tweet. Said Tweet, which has amassed nearly 63K replies, over 34K re-Tweets and almost 151K likes, found the artist accusing Swift of embracing the Democratic platform due to her interest in being in movies.

“And it looks like she will suck the door knob off Hollyweird to get there,” added Kid Rock. “Oldest move in the book.”

Taylor Swift did not directly address his comment, but numerous high-profile celebrities and countless fans weighed in.
