Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy” Will Likely Reach #1 On Alternative Radio Chart

“bad guy” is expected to dethrone “Missed Connection.”

Barring an unlikely final-day slowdown, Billie Eilish’s “bad guy” will claim #1 on this week’s Mediabase alternative radio chart.

The multi-format smash received 2,722 spins during the first six days of the July 21-27 tracking period. Up 9% from the count at this point last week, the count slots “bad guy” at #1 on the Mediabase building chart.

The track does not have a huge lead over the #2 song; The Head & The Heart’s “Missed Connection,” that song, received 2,692 spins during the aforementioned six-day window. The key is that “bad guy” has a clear momentum advantage; whereas it is up 9% from last week’s mark, “Missed Connection” is only up 2%.

If both songs remain on those trajectories, “bad guy” will secure the official #1 position.

Should that happen, “bad guy” will follow “bury a friend” as Eilish’s second alternative radio #1.
