Leading up to this year’s Oscars, Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper’s “Shallow” seemed to be as good as done at radio. It was well off its #6 hot adult contemporary radio peak — and showing little in the way of upward momentum.

On the heels of the song’s big Oscar night (which included a Best Original Song win and an acclaimed performance), the song enjoyed a resurgence at radio. It quickly moved back into the Top 10 at Hot AC, before surpassing its original peak with a trip to the Top 5.

This week, it reaches #1.

Up two places, “Shallow” takes the throne from Benny Blanco, Halsey & Khalid’s “Eastside.”

“Shallow” received ~5,976 spins during the April 14-20 tracking period, besting last week’s count by 304 spins.

“Eastside” falls to #2 with ~5,922 spins (-160), while a spin count of ~5,811 (+87) drops Halsey’s “Without Me” one spot to #3.

Ellie Goulding & Diplo’s “Close To Me (featuring Swae Lee)” rises one place to #4 as Panic! At The Disco’s “High Hopes” drops one place to #5.
