Already a multi-week pop radio #1, Halsey’s “Without Me” may challenge for #1 on this week’s Mediabase hot adult contemporary chart.
Credited with 3,671 Hot AC spins in the four days of the March 3-9 tracking period, “Without Me” is currently only #2 on Mediabase’s building/real-time chart. The spin count, moreover, actually trails the same-time-last-week mark by 1%.
An opportunity for #1 exists, however, insofar as Panic! At The Disco’s “High Hopes” only holds a slight (29 spin) lead and is decelerating at a faster rate (-4%). If the two songs remain on their current trajectories, “Without Me” will move ahead of “High Hopes” — and claim #1 — by the time the chart goes final.
“High Hopes” has spent the past fourteen weeks in the pinnacle position.
