Featuring host John Mulaney and musical guest Thomas Rhett, Saturday’s edition of “SNL” fared well in the preliminary ratings.

Citing metered market data, NBC notes that the broadcast drew a 4.7 overnight household rating. It meanwhile posted a 1.9 adults 18-49 rating in the Top 25 markets.

The numbers top the 4.3 overnight household rating and 1.6 demo rating posted by the previous episode (host Don Cheadle and musical guest Gary Clark, Jr) on February 16.

The episode ties the February 9 Halsey broadcast as the third-best performer of the season. Only the season premiere with Adam Driver and Kanye West and Christmas episode with Matt Damon and Mark Ronson & Miley Cyrus posted better marks.

“SNL” returns next week with host Idris Elba and musical guest Khalid.
