Mahershala Ali wins his second career Academy Award.

For the second time in three years, Mahershala Ali is an Oscar winner for Best Supporting Actor.

Ali, who two years ago won his first Academy Award for “Moonlight,” took home this year’s Supporting Actor trophy for “Green Book.”

He beat out Adam Driver, Sam Elliott, Richard E. Grant and Sam Rockwell for this year’s prize.

The announcement of Ali’s win came at about the 1:25 mark of the telecast. The show opened with the news that Regina King had won for Supporting Actress.
