Early US sales and consumption projections have emerged for Kehlani’s “While We Wait.”

According to Hits Daily Double, the new mixtape may sell 5-6K pure US copies during the February 22-28 tracking period. With units from track sales and streams included, it may debut with about 25-28K in first-week consumption units.

While the consumption figure will not position “While We Wait” at the top of the Billboard 200, it will rank as one of the week’s best for a new release.

“While We Wait” is Kehlani’s third mixtape — and first since 2015’s “You Should Be Here.” In between, she released her debut studio album “SweetSexySavage,” which debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200.
