As the music community enthusiastically celebrated the album’s launch, every song from Ariana Grande’s “thank u, next” album received airplay at pop radio on Friday.

One of the new tracks received more airplay than the rest.

“break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored,” which is impacting radio as the album’s next official single, received multiple spins from dozens of stations.

According to Mediabase, Albuquerque’s 93.3 KOB ranked as the top supporter. It had played “break up” 17 times by the end of Friday.

Boston’s Kiss 108 offered 12 spins Friday, while Chattanooga’s 103.7 KISS delivered 10 plays.

Portland’s Live 95.5 and Salt Lake City’s Mix 105.1, the next-biggest supporters, had each played “break up” 9 times by Friday’s conclusion.

Dozens of other stations played “break up” between 1-8 times.

The airplay for “break up” and the other new tracks came even as radio offered increased support for Grande’s single “7 rings.” That song will move into the Top 10 this week’s chart — and should once again post the format’s greatest airplay gain.

“break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored” will officially impacting radio this coming week, but there is every indication Grande and her team expect “7 rings” to continue rising.
