The uppermost region of this week’s Official UK Singles Chart features a plethora of Christmas songs.

The very top spot does not, however, belong to a holiday tune. It instead belongs to Ava Max’s “Sweet But Psycho.”

The global breakthrough rises one place from last week’s position to close 2018 in the #1 position. It seizes the throne from LadBaby’s “We Built This City … On Sausage Rolls.”

Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” claims #2 this week, while Wham!’s “Last Christmas” grabs #3. The Pogues’ “Fairytale of New York (featuring Kirsty MacColl)” and Ariana Grande’s “thank u, next” follow at #4 and #5, respectively.

Band Aid’s “Do They Know It’s Christmas” (#6), Michael Buble’s “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas” (#7), Leona Lewis’ “One More Sleep” (#8), Shakin’ Stevens’ “Merry Christmas Everyone” (#9) and Elton John’s “Step Into Christmas’ (#10) complete the Top 10.

Indeed, “Sweet But Psycho” and “thank u, next” are the only non-holiday songs in the Top 10.
