The fact that Ariana Grande has two songs (“breathin” and “thank u, next”) in the format’s Top 5 is not preventing pop radio programmers from spinning her new song “imagine.”

“imagine,” which has not been announced as an official radio single, received 177 spins during the December 16-22 tracking period. The count positions “imagine” as the Mediabase pop panel’s #62 song.

It was #72 last week.

— As “imagine” joins the Top 65, Katy Perry’s “Cozy Little Christmas” moves into the Top 70. The new holiday song, which was outside last week’s Top 95, improves to #69 on the strength of its 111 spins.

“imagine” received tracking period airplay from 19 Mediabase-monitored pop stations. Thirty-four such stations played “Cozy Little Christmas.”
