King Princess’ breakthrough single “1950” just received a digital song certification in the United States.

The RIAA confirms that “1950” reached gold status on December 12, 2018. The award confirms at least 500,000 in US units. Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 audio or video streams.

“1950” fared particularly well on Spotify, earning spots on prominent playlists and amassing over 174 million global streams.

The song also reached the Top 20 at alternative radio.

First released in early 2018, “1950” later appeared on King Princess’ debut EP “Make My Bed.”
