After initially considering plans to promote her Calvin Harris collaboration “Checklist,” the RCA Records radio team ultimately decided on “Waves (with 6LACK)” as Normani’s next radio single.

The song is already attracting interest at the rhythmic format.

Played 110 times during the December 2-8 tracking period, “Waves” ranks as the Mediabase rhythmic panel’s #73 song. It was well outside last week’s Top 150.

“Waves” received tracking period airplay from 19 Mediabase-monitored rhythmic stations.

Normani was last represented at radio with the Khalid collaboration “Love Lies.” The successful single reached the Top 5 at rhythmic radio and #1 at the pop format.
