Panic! At The Disco’s “High Hopes” is on the verge of becoming a three-format radio #1.

Already a chart-topper at alternative and hot adult contemporary radio, “High Hopes” is leading the race for #1 on this week’s Mediabase pop radio chart.

“High Hopes” received 2,316 spins on Sunday, which marked the first day of the December 2-8 tracking period. Up 7% from last Sunday’s count, the tally slots “High Hopes” at #1 on the building/real-time chart.

Because the week is still very young (and Sunday airplay can be erratic), it is too early to guarantee that “High Hopes” will retain #1 through the close of tracking.

Its prospects nonetheless look good. “High Hopes” boasts a clear momentum advantage over Marshmello & Bastille’s building #2 “Happier” (2,287 spins, -6%) and Ariana Grande’s building #3 “breathin” (2,195 spins, -1%).

“High Hopes” would become the first pop radio #1 for Panic! At The Disco. The act previously peaked at #2 with breakthrough single “I Write Sins Not Tragedies.”
