Grammy Nominations Announcement Moved To Friday, December 7

The music industry will have to wait until Friday to learn who earned nominations.

Bruno Mars / Michele Crowe for CBS

Many months ago, the Recording Academy confirmed that nominations for the 61st Annual Grammy Awards would be revealed on Wednesday, December 5.

That is no longer the plan.

Due to coverage planned for President George H.W. Bush’s memorial on Wednesday, the announcement will now take place on Friday, December 7.

The daily schedule will apparently be unchanged. Major nominations will be revealed on CBS This Morning at 8:30AM ET, before the full list is distributed online at approximately 8:45AM ET.

The annual ceremony will take place on February 10, 2019.
