Mariah Carey released her first studio album since 2014 last week, and preliminary sales numbers are now available.

According to Hits Daily Double and BuzzAngle, Carey’s “Caution” sold about 43K pure US copies during the Novembre 16-22 tracking period. With units from track sales and streams included, it generated nearly 50K in first week consumption.

Due Sunday, Billboard’s more authoritative data may differ slightly from that reported by Hits. As long as the numbers land in that ballpark, however, they should earn “Caution” a Top 5 position on the Billboard Top Album Sales (pure sales) and Billboard 200 (consumption) charts.

In addition to the enthusiasm one would expect for a new Mariah Carey album, “Caution” benefited from a concert ticket-album bundle. Albums redeemed as part of the bundle count toward the pure sales total.
