Bruno Mars’ “Grenade,” “When I Was Your Man” Reach 8x Platinum In United States

One of the biggest music stars on the planet just received new US certifications for two of his biggest singles.

According to the RIAA, Mars’ “Grenade” and “When I Was Your Man” both attained 8x platinum status on November 19, 2018.

An 8x platinum award signifies 8 million in US units. Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

Mars additionally received a 3x platinum honor for his Grammy-winning album “24K Magic.” That award confirms 3 million in US album units; an album unit is equal to 1 album sale, 10 track sales or 1500 track streams.
