Darren Criss, Regina King Named Emmy Winners For Lead Acting In Limited Series

They won for “ACS: Versace” and “Seven Seconds.”

As the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony reaches its halfway point, we have more noteworthy victories to report.

Darren Criss and Regina King took home the awards for Lead Actor and Actress, respectively, in a Limited Series or Movie.

Criss’ Emmy recognizes his work in “The Assassination Of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.” King won for her work in “Seven Seconds.”

The other Lead Actor nominees included Antonio Banderas, Jesse Plemons, John Legend, Jeff Daniels and Benedict Cumberbatch.

Jessica Biel, Laura Dern, Michelle Dockery, Edie Falco and Sarah Paulson also received nods in the Lead Actress category.

— Earlier in the night, Merrit Wever won for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie (for “Godless”). Her “Godless” co-star Jeff Daniels took home the Supporting Actor trophy.
