Paul McCartney’s “Egypt Station” will challenge for #1 on this week’s key album charts.

According to Hits Daily Double, the album should debut with 115-125K US units this week. The majority of those units will come from pure sales, with track equivalent albums and streaming equivalent albums contributing a few thousand at best.

As it currently stands, “Egypt Station” is on track to debut at #1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales (pure sales) chart. The next-best performer from a pure sales standpoint will likely be Lauren Daigle’s “Look Up Child,” which is trending for a debut in the 85-95K range.

It will meanwhile challenge Eminem’s “Kamikaze” for #1 on the Billboard 200 consumption chart. That album is also tracking for 115-125K total units (but only about 50K in pure sales).
