Sunday’s Miss America pageant featured a number of changes, including the elimination of the swimsuit competition.

The changes did not spur a ratings increase. This year’s show, in fact, suffered a steep year-over-year decline.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Sunday’s ceremony drew a 0.7 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 4.31 million overall viewers.

Last year’s show drew a 1.1 rating and 5.35 million viewers. Those numbers were down from the 1.3 rating and 6.29 million viewer mark posted by the 2016 broadcast.

Nia Franklin of New York won this year’s pageant.
