Updated US sales and consumption projections have emerged for BTS’ new “Love Yourself: Answer,” and they confirm that the album is pacing for #1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales and Billboard 200 charts.

According to Hits Daily Double, the album is expected to sell 135-145K pure US copies this week. With TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1250 for paid services + track streams/3750 for free services) included, the album should generate 175-185K in total first-week consumption units.

The numbers are at the high end of the initial forecast, which called for 120-140K in pure sales and 155-185K in total units.

The pure sales total should position the BTS album as a dominant #1 on Top Album Sales. No other album is even expected to sell 50K pure copies.

The consumption tally should meanwhile secure a #1 bow on the Billboard 200. No other album is even a lock to break 100K in units this week.

“Love Yourself: Answer” will follow this spring’s “Love Yourself: Tear” as BTS’ second #1 album in the US.
