BTS & Nicki Minaj’s “IDOL” Received Opening Day US Pop Radio Airplay

“IDOL” received first-day spins from a variety of stations.

“IDOL (featuring Nicki Minaj),” the official single from BTS’ new album “Love Yourself: Answer,” launched at radio Friday morning.

Several stations provided immediate airplay.

Long-time BTS supporters KJ103 Oklahoma City and 103.7 KISS Chattanooga unsurprisingly led the way from an airplay standpoint. According to Mediabase, KJ103 had played the song a whopping 20 times by the end of Friday. KISS had delivered 19 spins.

Other noteworthy early supporters include 104.7 KISS Phoenix (6 spins), Power 95.3 Orlando (5 spins), the Music Choice Top 40 Channel (5 spins), and 104.3 NOW Las Vegas (4 spins).

Several other stations played “IDOL” once, twice or thrice.

“IDOL (featuring Nicki Minaj)” currently ranks as the #2 song on the US iTunes sales chart. The BTS-only version of “IDOL” is #1.
