“Kiss Somebody” had already established itself as a breakthrough hit for Morgan Evans.

This week, it becomes the artist’s first career #1.

Up four places, “Kiss Somebody” earns #1 on the Mediabase country radio singles chart.

In addition to ruling for chart points, “Kiss Somebody” ranks as the Mediabase country panel’s most played song for the August 12-18 tracking period. It received 7,854 spins (+1,098).

It meanwhile takes second place for audience impressions (46.49 million). Jason Aldean’s “Drowns The Whiskey (featuring Miranda Lambert),” which holds at #2 on the chart, reached an audience of 48.47 million.

Luke Bryan’s “Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset” rises one places to #3 on this week’s Mediabase chart, while Thomas Rhett’s “Life Changes” slides one spot to #4. The aforementioned “Mercy” drops to #5.
