Update: Late Monday/early Tuesday, James Corden Tweeted print-outs of lyrics for Ariana Grande’s “No Tears Left To Cry” and “God is a woman.” Captioned “learning these,” the Tweet strongly suggested that Grande would be the focal point of the next “Carpool Karaoke” segment on Corden’s “Late Late Show.”

Shortly after he posted the Tweet, the show’s official Instagram account confirmed the speculation.

“That time James leaked the next #carpoolkaraoke,” reads the post, which includes a screenshot of Corden’s initial Tweet.

CBS has not yet revealed a date for the segment, but it will presumably happen soon. Grande’s new album “Sweetener” arrives on August 17, and the “Carpool Karaoke” bit would represent valuable promotion.

While Ariana Grande appeared alongside Seth MacFarlane in the Apple Music edition of Carpool Karaoke, she has yet to participate in the sketch on “The Late Late Show With James Corden.”

That will evidently change soon.

Monday night, James Corden Tweeted print-outs of lyrics for Grande’s hits “No Tears Left To Cry” and “God is a woman.” He included the caption, “learning these.”

Grande coyly replied, “sick what for,” as if her many fans had not caught James Corden’s hint. He clearly seems to be suggesting that Grande will star in an upcoming edition of “Carpool Karaoke.”

As CBS has not even explicitly confirmed the sketch is happening, no date has been announced. It could happen soon, though. Grande’s new album “Sweetener” arrives on Friday, August 17, and a “Late Late Show” segment would provide helpful promotion.
