Dua Lipa’s “New Rules” Earns 3x Platinum Certification In United States

“New Rules” reached the triple-platinum milestone last week.

While Dua Lipa’s “New Rules” had reportedly reached 3 million in US units by April, it was not until last week that the song officially received its triple-platinum certification.

According to the RIAA, “New Rules” was formally certified 3x platinum on July 27, 2018. The certification, as noted, confirms 3 million in US units.

Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

“New Rules” served as Dua Lipa’s breakthrough hit in the United States. It reached #1 at pop radio and #6 on the overall Billboard Hot 100 chart.
