Last year, Sam Hunt’s “Body Like A Back Road” enjoyed a record-setting 34 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

As of this week, that record no longer stands.

Bebe Rexha’s “Meant To Be (featuring Florida Georgia Line)” is celebrating a 35th consecutive week atop the chart. As such, it boasts the longest reign in the chart’s history.

The Hot Country Songs chart ranks country singles based on combined activity from sales, streams and radio airplay. The radio component includes airplay from non-country formats.

While “Body Like A Back Road” successfully crossed over to pop and hot adult contemporary radio, “Meant To Be” actually started at those mainstream formats before impacting country. It also fared far better, reaching #1 at Hot AC and #2 at pop.

Both songs, of course, hit #1 at country radio.

Certainly not a radio-only hit, “Meant To Be” has been at or near the top of the country streaming and sales charts since Billboard began classifying it as a country single this past December.
