Bastille’s “Quarter Past Midnight” Officially Reaches #1 At Alternative Radio

At different points this week, twenty one pilots’ “Jumpsuit,” Weezer’s “Africa” and Bastille’s “Quarter Past Midnight” all appeared to have a shot at #1 on the Mediabase alternative radio chart.

By the end of the tracking week, “Quarter Past Midnight” was standing tallest.

The song, which was #3 last week, jumps to #1 on this week’s chart. It received a format-leading 3,195 spins during the July 22-28 tracking period, besting last week’s mark by 343 spins.

Up three places, “Africa” grabs #2 with 3,153 plays (+345). “Jumpsuit” slips one spot to #3 with 3,103 (+249).

Panic! At The Disco’s “Say Amen (Saturday Night),” last week’s leader, falls three places to #4 with 2,871 spins (-238). Lovelytheband’s “Broken” rises one place to #5 with 2,611 (-102).
