The lead single from Ariana Grande’s forthcoming album “Sweetener” just crossed the platinum threshold in the United States.

According to the RIAA, the platinum certification was formally issued on July 3, 2018. It confirms 1 million in US units.

Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

Released this past April, “No Tears” may move up to #2 on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart. It has gone as high as #3 on the overall Billboard Hot 100, tying “Bang Bang (with Jessie J & Nicki Minaj)” as her second-highest-peaking single.

Only the #2-peaking “Problem (featuring Iggy Azalea)” went higher on the Hot 100.
