Making good on the projection, Dan + Shay’s “Tequila” officially reaches #1 on this week’s Mediabase country radio singles chart.

The song, which was #3 last week, seizes the throne from Morgan Wallen’s “Up Down (featuring Florida Georgia Line).”

Not simply the leader in chart points, “Tequila” ranks as the Mediabase country panel’s most played and heard song for the June 24-30 tracking period. It received ~8,511 spins (+719) and ~58.91 million audience impressions.

“Tequila” becomes Dan + Shay’s fourth country radio #1. The duo previously topped the charts with “Nothin’ Like You,” “From The Ground Up,” and “How Not To.”

Up two places, Kenny Chesney’s “Get Along” takes #2 this week. Jake Owen’s “I Was Jack (You Were Diane)” rises three spots to #3, while the aforementioned “Up Down” drops three spots to #4.

David Lee Murphy & Kenny Chesney’s “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright” holds at #5.
