Ghost’s new album “Prequelle” fared well during its first week in the market.

The album in fact earns #1 on the genre-specific Billboard Top Rock Albums chart. It follows the “Popestar” EP in becoming the act’s second #1 on Top Rock Albums.

“Prequelle” did not simply do well within its own genre, however. It also debuted prominently on the all-genre album charts.

It takes #2 on the all-genre Top Album Sales chart, which ranks albums based on pure US sales. It also takes #3 on the Billboard 200, which ranks albums based on the sum of sales, TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500).

Both positions represent new peaks for Ghost.
