In addition to the nail-biter at pop radio, Zedd, Maren Morris & Grey’s “The Middle” found itself in a close race for #1 at hot adult contemporary radio.

Unfortunately, the Hot AC outcome was not of the favorable variety. Whereas “The Middle” returns to #1 at pop radio, it retains the #2 spot at Hot AC.

Imagine Dragons’ “Whatever It Takes” claims #1 on this week’s Mediabase Hot AC chart. Celebrating a second week at #1, “Whatever It Takes” received 6,566 tracking period plays (-95).

“The Middle” received 6,545 spins (-69).

Credited with 5,802 spins (+240), Camila Cabello’s “Never Be The Same” spends another week at #3. Maroon 5’s “Wait” holds at #4 with 5,579 (+167) and Bebe Rexha’s “Meant To Be (featuring Florida Georgia Line)” stays at #5 with 4,989 (-315).
