As of May 1, Khalid’s “Young Dumb & Broke” was officially certified platinum in the United States.

On May 2, the RIAA greatly upgraded that certification.

“Young Dumb & Broke” now holds triple-platinum standing in America.

The award signifies at least 3 million in US units. Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

“Young Dumb & Broke” is the second Khalid single to attain multi-platinum status in America. The artist previously first joined the multi-platinum club with “Location.” That song is quadruple-platinum as of this writing.

“Young Dumb & Broke” and “Location” appear on Khalid’s “American Teen” album, which is platinum in the US.
