It was Ariana Grande’s eagerly anticipated new single. The audio — and the official music video — both launched at the start of the sales and streaming tracking period.

It should, therefore, come as no surprise that “No Tears Left To Cry” debuts prominently on this week’s Billboard Hot 100.

The song, in fact, takes #3 on the chart, which ranks songs from all genres based on sales, streams and radio airplay.

“No Tears Left To Cry” was sure to post strong early sales and streaming numbers no matter what; a discounted iTunes price point and great Spotify playlist positioning helped solidify that reality. The song also garnered a considerable amount of early airplay at pop, rhythmic and hot adult contemporary radio.

It is the top debut on this week’s chart.

— In addition to debuting at #3 on the Hot 100, “No Tears Left To Cry” earns #1 on the Billboard Digital Song Sales Chart.
