The sixteenth iteration (and first ABC season) of “American Idol” has revealed its Top 10 contestants.

The news came at the end of Monday’s two-hour results show.

Gabby Barrett, Cade Foehner, Caleb Lee Hutchinson, Maddie Poppe, Catie Turner and Michael J. Woodard advanced on the strength of America’s vote.

The judges then adopted to thrust Jurnee, Dennis Lorenzo, Michelle Sussett and Ada Vox into the Top 10.

Monday’s show was not, however, purely an exercise in good news. It also confirmed that Mara Justine, Garrett Jacobs, Marcio Donaldson and Jonny Brens were eliminated from contention.

The remaining ten contestants will take the stage on Sunday, April 29.
