“Silicon Valley” Renewed For Season 6, “Barry” Confirmed For Season 2

HBO’s “Silicon Valley” and “Barry” will return next year.

Currently airing without big lead-in support (“Westworld” does not start until April 22), HBO’s “Silicon Valley” and “Barry” have not been posting monster live+same-day ratings.

They have nonetheless been demonstrating enough value to satisfy HBO schedulers.

In a Thursday morning press release, HBO revealed that it had renewed the comedies for next season.

“Silicon Valley” will be back for a sixth season, while “Barry” will be returning for a second chapter.

“While BARRY has delighted audiences with its deft interplay of comedy and drama, SILICON VALLEY remains as brilliantly and frighteningly prescient as ever,” said HBO’s Amy Gravitt. “We’re thrilled that these two smart, funny shows are returning for another season.”
