As it retains its #1 position on the pop radio chart, Zedd, Maren Morris & Grey’s “The Middle” blasts into the Top 5 at hot adult contemporary.

Imagine Dragons’ “Whatever It Takes” also secures a Top 5 position at Hot AC. Maroon 5’s “Wait” meanwhile joins the Top 10.

Played ~5,168 times during the April 1-7 tracking period, “The Middle” jumps three spots to #4 on this week’s Mediabase Hot AC chart.

This week’s spin count tops last week’s mark by 739 spins, which represents the format’s #2 airplay gain. Only Shawn Mendes’ “In My Blood” enjoyed a bigger lift (+794).

Up one place, “Whatever It Takes” earns #5 on this week’s listing. It received ~5,127 spins during the tracking period (+612).

“Wait” concurrently rises three places to #8. The “Red Pill Blues” single posted a tracking period play count of ~3,876 (+334).
